How does hypnotherapy and NLP work?
Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep. It does involve the induction of a trance-like condition, but when in it, you actually are in an enhanced state of awareness.
The very relaxing state of hypnosis is available to all of us. It’s a bit like day dreaming and occurs naturally many times throughout the day. Your subconscious mind is the ‘older’, more instinctive part of your mind, where old behaviors are stored. Including those which served you well at a certain time in your life but may be a little bit out of date today.
For example: certain behaviors, fears, feelings maybe very beneficial for a child, however may prove to be quite the opposite for the same person as a grown up.
